Let's keep it real. Shaun is possibly the most recognized
snowboarder and skater in the history of Xtreme sports.
He's a marketing genius, and has made snowboarding an
International commodity. However on the night in
question at the X-games in Aspen Colorado, Shaun
was handed a gift as well as asterisk in the history books.
Everyone knows young guns Kevin Pearce beat Shaun.
You can tell by Shaun's over exuberant expression
that he knew deep down that he won by the skin of his teeth.

Kevin will win many more event, and will become a star in the
World of snowboarding, but I gotta keep it gully. He won
the 2009 Men's Superpipe finals. Basically he was
robbed. And I thought Colorado was a safe place.

Going into the last run, Kevin was in first and Shaun was in last
place. Athough Shaun did a clean run, and landed some
nice tricks, there's no possible way he should have out edged
Kevin. White beat Pierce by one point. 91.66 to 90.66 for
Pearce
.
Although Shaun is the first snowboarder to become a repeat winner,
his win was very controversial. Ask any of the FRENDS posse what
they thought about Shaun winning and then get back to me.
