Who could have imagined that Will Smith would have
broken records last week with the opening of
Hancock. The Fresh Prince of Philly grossed
$107 million on it's opening weekend. Will's
performance of a slacker superhero, propelled
Hancock to his 12th No.1 film of his career.
Although Hancock's screenplay wasn't intended
for a comic book or superhero movie, Will has
pulled off the inevitable by turning a mediocre
screenplay into a movie bonanza.
Hopefully this will jump start Hollywood into
greenlighting old comics such as Black Panther,
and Brother Voodoo into blockbuster movies.
In the past there has been limited depictions
of African Americans in superhero rolls.
Reginald Hudlin is the new author of the
Black Panther comic books. His writing
and exquisite artwork from his art team,
has strengthened the Black Panther fan
base. Be on the look out for an upcoming
movie in the near future.
Watch out for limited edition old
school Black Panther comic books
for sale on this site.
