Currently Annett Davis and Jenny Johnson Jordan are
ranked #1 on the Crocs AVP tour. They are the only
team that hasn't switched teammates on the entire tour.
That's astonishing being that most teams switch player
yearly due to personality clashes, inconsistent play,
jealousy, etc.
The Davis/Jordan team just keeps rolling and is a
pillar of continuous professionalism on and off the
court. That is why young african-american girls from
Philly,NY and Cali, idolize them for their spirit and
athleticism.
It is rare in the sport of volleyball and surfing that
you find minorities standing in line to join in. They
are both strenous sports and outside the realm of
traditional inner city youths. However having the
opportunity to dream and live a lifestyle filled with
positive energy is something possible if a kid is
taken out of their element even if it's for one
afternoon.
Thanks to Brooklyn's own Leonard Armato, kids
will be able to enjoy a weekend filled with fun and
excitement. Something kids out in Cali take for
granted because they surf and play volleyball
everyday.
