A California native ventures out into the murky waters of Trestles.

Trestles is one of the biggest, most consistent waves in Southern

California. Most locals from San Celemente bum rush the areas

of Lower and Upper Trestles from morning till sundown. Although

South Beach is the best party beach on the East Coast, San Celmente

is the best surfing community in the World.

The ASP world will holds it's annual surfing contest at Trestles

between September 7-13. There's often a waiting period

between days if the waves aren't at their highest peak.

You'll be able to watch the greatest surfer to ever step foot

into the ocean "Kelly Slater". He's a East Coast prodigy that's

been called the Michael Jordan of surfing. Although Michael

was unsuccessful in his second comeback as a professional

basketball player, Kelly has racked up an additional two

World championships and is currently ranked No.1 in this

years ratings. He has a total of 8 championships to date.

People are always amazed how Kelly can be so good at

surfing, when the East Coast has some of the weakest swells

in the World. Cocoa Beach, Florida is Kelly's hometown break,

and is where the legendary surfer was born and breed.

Kelly is also known for his smooth approaches with the ladies

such as Super-Model Gisele Bundchen, Cameron Diaz and

Pamela Anderson.

Look for Kelly to keep powering his way to elite status in the

surfing industry.
